MAKKAH: The Saudi Food and Drug Authority is intensifying its efforts ahead of the Hajj season by conducting training programs and actively participating in joint simulations.
These initiatives aim to enhance preparedness and ensure a swift response to health incidents, prioritizing the safety and well-being of pilgrims.
As part of its role, the authority is actively engaged at the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Center at Mina Hospital, strengthening coordination among government agencies and supporting preventive measures.
Additionally, the authority organized a workshop in Makkah titled “Food Poisoning,” which focused on training participants in rapid response mechanisms for suspected cases. The workshop emphasized regulatory procedures, the importance of immediate reporting, and coordination among relevant authorities.
The center oversees health crisis and disaster management during the Hajj season, serving as a central hub for all related entities to enhance integration, readiness, and overall efficiency in handling health emergencies, reports, and risk management.
